If
you want to know something about the rich cultural and historical
heritage of Montenegro as well as see its natural beauties you should
go to Montenegrotour. We travel by bus from the coast over the hills
to the old capital of Montenegro, Cetinje where we visit cultural
and historical monuments: the National Museum, once the palace of
King Nikola Petrovic and Cetinje Monastery, the place from where Montenegrin
bishops ruled this small country.
We continue the trip over mount Lovcen enjoying beautiful scenery
and we stop in the village Njeguši for a snack consisting of local
specialities, smoked cheese, ham, local brandy and wine. Then we drive
down the hill and famous Lovcen serpentines to the unique fiord ,
Bay of Boka and the ancient city of Kotor, a medieval Mediterranean
jewel under UNESCO protection ( the Catedral St.Tripun from 12th century
being one of the oldest sights to see). After coffee break we visit
the town . Then we return to the hotels.

We take a boat for panoramic trip along the
most beautiful part of the coast, passing by the old town of
Budva, the Island St. Nikola, the hotel-island Sveti Stefan and
some hidden exotic beaches.
We stop at one of
these beaches for a fish lunch with drink and there is chance to
swim in the clear water and relax in the sun.
In the afternoon we
return by boat to the hotels.

We travel by the bus
along the beautiful Bay of Kotor, the
south- most fiord in Europe, crossing it by ferry. After crossing
the border with Croatia we arrive at the ancient famous city of
Dubrovnik, lying in the sun inside medieval
walls. Dubrovnik is the one of the most beautiful and best preserved
medieval Mediterranean towns, rich with cultural monuments.
It is under the protection of UNESCO. In the Old City we visit
several museums and churches guided by
local guides. After the sightseeing there is free time for lunch
(not included in the price) and shopping or
just sitting in one of its numerous cafe bars and enjoying the
atmosphere of this beautiful town. In the afternoon we return
by bus to the hotels. |

Rafting on the river Tara is one of the most
exciting experiences you can have in Montenegro. The Tara canyion
is second deep in the world, after Colorado one, and it is the unique
oasis of sillence and untouched nature. In the early morning we leave
the hotel bus mini-bus, drive inland though the beautiful mountain
scenery.
We arrive to Šcepan Polje, from where, after a rich national
breakfast, we start with jeeps to the place from where the rafts start
down the Tara and its white waters. The river is limpid green and
drinkable and the exciting rafting cannot be described it can only
be lived. After rafting and lunch in the nature we return to the hotels
on the coast. |

THE BAY OF KOTOR |

If you want to spend a
nice day at sea, in the most southern fiord in Europe, you can join
us on this excursion.We travel by bus from your hotel to Kotor, an
old medieval Mediterranean town under UNESCO protection. Here you
have half an hour to walk through the town,feel its atmosphere or
have a drink in one of many cafe bars lining its streets. In the
port by the old town we board a boat and start our panoramic ride
through the Bay of Kotor enyoing the sight of steep mountains and
calm sea. We
stop at the small island »Gospa od Škpjela«
to visit a church from the XVII century, a well-known holy place
decorated with 68 frescos by a famous baroque painter from the area,
Tripo Kokolj. We continue our boat ride
through the Bay and stop at a restaurant
for lunch (included in the price) and swimming. In the afternoon we
return by bus to the hotels. |

This one day excursion
will take you to the most beatiful and untouched parts of
Montenegro. We leave the coast early in the morning by bus, passing
the Skadar lake (the largest lake on Balkan
peninsula very rich with flora and fauna), through the
Moraca canyon arriving at the small
mountain town Kolašin to have breakfast.
After a shortstop we take a 4WD and start the photo safary on the
mountain Bjelasica. Untouched nature, virgin
primeval forest, mountain lakes, bird's-eye
view at 2000m, picking up herbs, visiting summer pastures,
taking photos of the beautiful scenery, are just some of the things
we can enjoy in the mountain. In the afternoon we return to Kolašin
for lunchand leave for the coast. |
